Arts - Performing

At Santa Barbara High School, students can explore their creativity and build confidence through a wide range of performing arts programs. Our Band Program helps students grow as musicians and individuals, developing performance skills, music literacy, and expressive abilities through practice, ensemble work, and enriching experiences like competitions and guest performances. The Choir Department fosters teamwork and community while guiding singers of all levels through diverse choral literature, concerts, and travel opportunities that broaden their musical and cultural horizons. In the Dance Program, students cultivate technical skill, artistry, and self-expression across multiple styles—from Ballet and Jazz to Hip-Hop and Musical Theater—while exploring dance history and choreography. Meanwhile, the Theater Department welcomes all students into a collaborative, supportive environment, offering dynamic productions and classes that nurture creativity, performance skills, and a lifelong love of the stage.
